by Mr. Sumel Ashique, 20 Nov 2020

Aspirin is presently the most broadly recommended therapeutic option in the inhibition of cardiovascular obstacles. At low doses, aspirin is also extensively used to avert pregnancy associated vascular conditions, such as preeclampsia and intrauterine growth limitation, and maternal complaints such as anti-phospholipid condition. It is also effective in secondary inhibition of preeclampsia generally in patients having background of preeclampsia. Indications for aspirin during pregnancy are a key point to argument and there is a current trend to an extensive prescription of aspirin in pregnancy.Aspirin has been reported to wide-ranging adverse pregnancy-linked results such as maternal and infant bleeding, low birth weight, extended labor, lengthy gestation, perinatal mortality, premature closure of the ductus arteriosus, cognitive deficits, congenital malformations etc. This review mainly focused on the adverse effects of Aspirin during pregnancy while using in a high dose for long term use.
