The herbomineral formulation was developed in ointment form by using herb extract, mineral and other excipient and evaluated for wound healing effect in excision and incision wound models in rats. Excision wounds sized 500 mm2 and 2 mm depth were used for the study of rate of contraction of wound and epithelialization at different time intervals. Incision wounds were used for the study of tensile strength measured on 10th day. It was observed that the herbomineral formulation in excision wound model possessed significant (physical characters and was found to be stable for 45 days.
