ABSTRACT

Dear Reader,

Bentley’s text book of Pharmaceutics and Cooper & Gunn’s Dispensing Pharmacy are 2 books that can’t be forgotten to Pharmacists of our times (1967 to 1980”s?). Maceration, percolations, tinctures, mixtures, powders, emulsions and so on were fundamental “formats” that were learnt. How many current day pharma students can “still pack powders in a paper folded pack to dispense unit dose”, I wonder. Introduction to drug/medicines delivery formats, now “dosage forms-A cool word eh!” was the beginning to the world of pharmacy.
