ABSTRACT

A series of 1, 3, 4-Oxadiazole derivatives have been synthesized and evaluated for antimicrobial and antidiabetic activities. The newly synthesized compounds have been characterized by IR, ¹ H NMR and elemental analysis. All compounds have shown promising antimicrobial and antidiabetic activities when compared with standard drug ciprofloxacin and acarbose respectively. Compounds A₂ ,B₂ ,C₁ ,D₁ ,D₂ ,E₁ and E₂ have shown promising antimicrobial activity while compounds A₁ ,A₂ ,B₁ ,C₁ ,D₁ ,E₁ and E₂ have shown promising antidiabetic activity.
